Throwback To Lakme Fashion Week 2015…
My Experience At lakme Fashion Week 2015
To be honest, one week before LFW A/W 2015 I had absolutely no idea how I would get to Lakme Fashion Week, how I would possibly arrange passes, or whether my dream of ever even seeing any of the fashion show’s would even come true. Three of my favourite designers were showcasing there collections together on Day 5 of LFW and I just set my heart and soul into having faith that I just had to find a way to get there n0 matter what. Anushree Reddy, Arpita Mehta and Riddhi Mehra, were the three designers showcasing at one of the shows on Day 5.
I just happend to be informed about an internship and a giveaway being held by AskMeOnFashion.com regarding an innovative hairstyle portraying our style and sense of fashion, and an internship to blog for them. Simultaneously I also came across a giveaway being held by Harpers Bazaar Bride & Anushree Reddy for a chance to win 2 LFW passes and a designer dupatta from Anushree Reddy’s collection! It felt like everything and every opportunity just kept unfolding itself and bringing me closer to LFW. I immediately participated in both and somehow even discovered my love for writing about Fashion through my first article that I wrote during that span of time regarding whether ‘People are influenced by Styles or do they follow Trends’.
And that’s how it all began… After my first article, I never stopped writing and after a few months, I finally decided to start publishing them on my blog 🙂 After winning the giveaway by Harper’s Bazaar Bride & Anushree Reddy, I literally felt like I was on seventh heaven! And on receiving the email regarding me being the winner of AskMeOn Fashion’s contest as well, I definitely could not have felt more excited.
Attending LFW felt like a dream come true. Right from being handed over the passes personally along with the exquisite dupatta from Anushree Reddy’s collection, to being pampered by AskMeOnFashion’s team with a bunch of goodies as well! Watching the designer collections displayed live, with perfect arrangement, coordination of the all models throughout the ramp walk and the graceful display of all the ensembles was breathtaking. I even managed to meet my all time favourite deisgner, Arpita Mehta, who had designed the lovely lehnga worn by me for my music video directed and produced by the talented crew, The Wedding Filmer (TWF).
